Roadway Projects
SW 27th Street, Redmond, OR
100_6408 (Small).jpgAs part of an upgrade of SW 27th Street from “Local Street” to “Minor Arterial” roadway classification, NW Engineers provided design services for 2.1-mile roadway and sanitary sewer design. The limits of the project are from SW Cascade Ave to SW Canal Street. Creative design included careful selection of a practical and cost-efficient vertical and horizontal alignment. NW Engineers design team carefully analyzed and weighed the advantages and disadvantages of related issues such as elevations, slopes of connecting streets and driveways, depths of existing and proposed utilities, surface drainage patterns, amounts of cut and fill, and proposed retaining wall heights. A study comparing a signalized intersection and roundabout was included.

Clifton Road, Clatsop, OR
IMG_0482 (Small).jpgThis project includes the concept design of an upgrade of an existing roadway to the proposed LNG Conversion Facility. The project included a new entrance onto a State highway, 2.5 miles of upgraded roadway, an upgrade to the existing Highway 30 intersection and a park and ride facility for 500 vehicles. Semi mountainous terrain required close attention to the horizontal and vertical roadway alignment. The design included approximately 3000LF of retaining walls.

Four Corners Industrial Phase II
0040-004016 (Small).jpgThis project includes engineering services in survey, design, and construction administration of 1,700 lineal foot of industrial roadway. The design included storm, sanitary, and water main extensions, curb and gutters, commercial driveways, street landscape and lighting. In addition, storm water impacts were analyzed and a storm report was prepared in support of a centralized water quality and detention facility for the new industrial roadway. Legal descriptions for the roadway were provided to the City of Molalla. The project also involved assistance to the City in acquiring the state highway road approach permit, and water and sanitary improvement permit from Oregon Department of Transportation.

Neahkahnie Creek Condos
plan-1 (Small).jpgHighway 101 left-turn channelization required design of roadway widening, drainage redesign, inclusion of concrete retaining walls, utility relocation, striping layout, traffic control plans, and coordination with Oregon DOT.
